Life is Living Festival with People’s Kitchen Collective

It was a true community celebration at the 15th annual LIFE is LIVING festival that celebrates and highlights everything that is beautiful about Oakland – the joy, diversity, adversity, and revolutionary spirit that vibrates through the streets of the city.

The HEAR HERE Community Billboard joined the People’s Kitchen Collective in a huge act of generosity to feed the community. Along with community food partners, PKC served hot, delicious, and nutritious Free Breakfasts honoring the legacy of the Black Panther Party for Self Defense’s Survival Programs. There was also “Living School” stations for community members to educate and reflect on the survival programs that we all still benefit from today.
